Athenum vs Exocharts
Compare Exocharts footprints and desktop execution workflows with Athenum's exchange, funding and macro workspace. Check web and desktop separately.
Published by Athenum Analytics, the maker of Athenum. This is our assessment of workflow fit, based on the linked documentation and our product. It is not an independent benchmark or a measured performance ranking.
Which fits your task?
Consider Athenum when you want to connect multiple venue books and derivatives metrics with broader market context. It is a fit decision about the workflow, not a claim that a dashboard replaces every footprint tool.
Keep Exocharts when footprint structure, profiles, TPO or its desktop order-flow tools drive your analysis. Its current help documentation also describes desktop replay, DOM, tape and Bybit execution; check the relevant edition.
| Task | Athenum | Exocharts |
|---|---|---|
| Primary reading task | Connect book liquidity, funding, positioning and macro observations. | Footprint and profile analysis, with web and desktop capabilities documented separately. |
| Execution workflow | Use the terminal to investigate market context; verify any order-entry requirement directly before switching. | The desktop documentation describes Bybit spot and futures trading. Do not assume all editions have identical execution features. |
| Data setup | Verify the exchange and market represented by each panel. | Desktop documentation lists external feed options. Check the exchange entitlement and feed cost for your setup. |
| Replay and layout | Confirm the history and workspace behavior needed for your own review process. | Desktop replay and multi-window capabilities are documented. A web screenshot does not describe the whole desktop product. |
Why can two order-flow screens disagree on the same coin?
They may be showing different venues, spot versus perpetual markets, trade aggregation rules or time boundaries. Compare those inputs before concluding that a platform is wrong. A BTC label alone is not a complete instrument identifier.
A practical comparison you can repeat
Write down the exact contract, tick grouping, time window and quote currency in both tools. Compare a short interval of executed trades separately from resting book liquidity. Ask whether you need footprint execution detail, market context, or both.

Evidence and limits
Our Bitcoin perp holding-cost audit compares funding with fees in a stated historical sample. For visible liquidity, read Whale Walls behavior and limitations and the heatmap interpretation checklist. Prices, entitlements and feed coverage can change; verify the exact edition and market before paying or migrating.
